National Pre-Apprenticeship Week Earns Its Spot on the National Calendar
The Carpenter Contractor Trust scored a milestone for the skilled trades: National Pre-Apprenticeship Week has been officially accepted into the 2027 Chase’s Calendar of Events, locking in the first week of May as its permanent, nationwide observance. Chase’s Calendar is the authoritative reference for notable observances — home to listings like Breast Cancer Awareness Month and National Suicide Prevention Week — and acceptance requires a competitive, panel-reviewed submission process. The 2027 edition goes live in print and online in October 2026.

A permanent platform. The listing remains in place indefinitely through yearly renewal, giving National Pre-Apprenticeship Week a reliable, recurring stage for national exposure.
Built for the trades. CCT’s pre-apprenticeship program delivers hands-on training in safety, basic math, tool use, and introductory framing — preparing participants for union apprenticeship and long-term careers in the skilled trades.
Credibility that compounds. Inclusion in Chase’s Calendar signals both purpose and impact, positioning the initiative alongside some of the most recognized observances in the country.
A long-term marketing asset for CCT. The designation gives Carpenter Contractor Trust a built-in annual hook to drive awareness, engagement, and participation in pre-apprenticeship programs nationwide.
“This recognition transforms what has historically been behind-the-scenes work into a lasting promotional cornerstone. It ensures that National Pre-Apprenticeship Week will continue to gain visibility and momentum, reinforcing the importance of building strong pathways into the skilled trades.”
